Designing Your Dream Home: Our Process
From your dream merely sketched on a napkin, to designing, budgeting and scheduling, and until the project is done in its entirety, Brothers Construction will diligently and meticulously care for every detail.

Step One: You Relax
This is Brothers Construction’s specialty. Our experience, organizational skills and willingness to proceed at your pace, separate us from any other custom homebuilder. We offer a complete turn-key service, from initial design to final delivery. To build your own home is a labor of love; a creative endeavor that engages you, heart and soul. At Brothers Construction, we believe the resulting home should be a joy in which to live. More than that, we believe the process of building it should be a joy to experience.

Step Two: We Follow Your Dream
First, we'll listen. To build a home that works for you, we need to share your vision. So, bring your sketches, pictures, plans and anything else you’ve been collecting. Although these items are not necessary, they can be helpful...that is why we have thousands of plans for your inspiration available to you. We also need to get a feel for your life-style, daily routines and any future plans for the property.

Step Three: We Study the Land
If you already have a building lot, we’ll need to walk it. If you are still in the process of finding land, we can help. Remember, the site conditions, plat, deed and covenence can not only have a significant impact on the budget, but also on the type and size of house, and the use and enjoyment of the remaining lands.

Step Four: We Draw the Plans
This is definitely a collaborative process. First, we’ll look to other plans, yours or ours, for inspiration. We'll meet, talk, review, and refine our ideas some more. All the while, keeping in mind the effects of the Three Fs (Form, Function, and Finance). Very soon, you'll have your initial plan, which we'll work on together to mold and remold until you're thrilled. Basically, we’ll be driving the truck and even navigating, but you’ll have to describe where you want to go, and how fast you want to get there.

Step Five: We Refine the Details
Again, we’ll start off by doing a lot of listening. We’ll discuss every feature and specification of your new home, from the major structural components to the finest detail. Ultimately, we will guide you through the scheduling, budgetary and pragmatic consequences of all the various options available to you, and in the end, you will have exercised as much control over every aspect of this project as is conceivably possible.

Step Six: Time and Money
With most of the major decisions behind us, we now turn our attention to the financial and logistical planning phases. We will contrive and share with you the weekly, monthly and overall production schedule, and the associated selection deadlines. We will prepare all the necessary contract and permit application documents, and assist you in securing financing.

Step Seven: We Execute the Plan
Once you give us the thumbs-up, we’ll go to work...And this is when the Real FUN begins!

In summary, it all starts with open and honest communication, and lots of it. You don’t have to be concerned with having plans, financing, or even land on which to build. We truly offer a turn-key service and will guide you through the process. There is no obligation on your part, and we encourage you to interview other builders. After all, unless and until we’ve designed, budgeted, and agreed on a shared vision, we can’t possibly go to contract, exchange money, or even pursue financing. So come with an open mind.
